About the Role

DTET is recruiting Instructor Grade III positions via competitive examination to teach technical subjects at government Technical Colleges island-wide. Applications open 6-31 July 2026.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical and vocational instruction in assigned subject
Conduct practical workshop and laboratory sessions
Assess student competency and provide academic support
Maintain training records and reports

Requirements

University degree in a relevant subject AND minimum 3 years teaching or professional experience
Sri Lankan citizenship, age 21-40 years
Available subjects: Technical Drawing, Agriculture, Information Technology, Motor Mechanics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Metal Work, Building Construction
NVQ Level 5 or 4 with experience also acceptable for certain tracks
