About the Role

Open competitive examination for Grade III Instructor posts at government technical colleges across Sri Lanka. Eight subject areas: Technical Drawing, Agriculture, IT, Motor Mechanics, Refrigeration & AC, Electrical, Metalworking, Building Construction. Applications close 31 July 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and vocational education to students at government technical colleges
• Prepare lesson plans, practical training sessions, and course materials
• Assess student performance through theory and practical examinations
• Maintain student records and departmental documentation
• Participate in curriculum development activities

Requirements

• University degree recognized by the UGC with the relevant subject as a main subject OR SLQF Level 5 qualification (equivalent to NVQ Level 7) from a recognized institution
• 3 years of teaching experience or professional experience in the relevant field (or a combination totalling 3 years)
• Sri Lanka citizenship
• Age limit as per government gazette notification
