Assistant Manager – HR Operations (Manufacturing Environment)

About the Role

Manage HR operations within a manufacturing setting, overseeing labour compliance, workforce planning, employee relations, and shift-based blue-collar workforce management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end HR operations in the manufacturing function
• Ensure adherence to labour regulations and HR procedures
• Manage workforce planning, employee relations, attendance, and disciplinary procedures
• Collaborate with operational teams including Production, Engineering, and Operations
• Implement HR improvements, analytics, and engagement initiatives
• Lead and develop the HR operations team

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
• 5-7 years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• 2-3 years in supervisory or assistant managerial HR role
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and compliance
• Experience with blue-collar and shift-based workforce management
• HRIS, HR analytics, and reporting experience
