About the Role
Finance Project Partner at Ceylon Cold Stores PLC. Lead the preparation of comprehensive project feasibility reports for consolidating insights from research, data, operations, and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive project feasibility reports by consolidating insights from research, data, operations, and finance teams
- Collaborate extensively with internal Finance, tax, and corporate finance teams to develop detailed financial feasibility assessments for proposed investments
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of Board approval documentation for new projects, aligning with strategic objectives
- Work with research agencies in getting the required data and sharing management insights from data analytics
- Coordinate with the legal team to finalize finance-related clauses in project contracts
- Review and maintain all project documentation, including contracts, guarantees, and letters of credit
- Verify that contractors have obtained insurance policies as stipulated in the contractual agreements for the project
- Liaise with banking partners and the group treasury team to secure the necessary financial arrangements for project execution
- Oversee and manage all project-related payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while maintaining comprehensive records of all financial transactions associated with the project
- Provide periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) to management, including detailed financial statements
- Ensure timely closure of project accounts upon completing the projects
- Prepare and submit all statutory government reports and tax returns related to project activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Undertake additional assignments and responsibilities as directed by the Accounting Supervisor, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational standards
Requirements
- Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK or Chartered Institute of Sri Lanka, with at least 2 years' experience in data analytics, feasibility preparation, financial reporting, and financial reliance of a manufacturing company
- Knowledgeable in project management, feasibility analysis, data analytics, MIS-IRD calculations, funding management, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiency
- Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal, complemented by a strong customer service orientation
